Job summary

Irwin Mitchell LLP is seeking a capable paralegal to join its Public Law and Human Rights team in the UK. You will assist solicitors by taking client instructions, researching cases, preparing documents and maintaining accurate records.

The role also involves supporting fee targets and delivering excellent client service in a collaborative environment. Essential criteria include strong communication, outstanding organisation, discretion with information, and empathy for clients facing

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication with clients and external organisations.

Responsibilities

• Taking instructions from clients and assisting solicitors in providing legal advice.
• Supporting progression of cases, preparing documents, researching law, and maintaining case records.
• Managing administrative and case-related tasks to ensure matters progress efficiently.
• Achieving time recording and fee income targets to support team operations.
• Building and maintaining relationships with clients, experts, public bodies and external organisations.
• Attending and contributing to team and practice area meetings.
• Keeping up to date with developments in relevant law, policy and practice.
• Participating in training and development to enhance legal knowledge and skills.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an excellent client experience.
