Job summary

Birnberg Peirce (London) is seeking an experienced Immigration Paralegal to join a focused human rights practice. The role covers file management, funding and legal aid compliance, form completion, client liaison and routine administration within asylum, immigration and citizenship work.

The position may involve complex and precedent-setting tasks before tribunals, higher courts and the European Court of Human Rights, with a strong commitment to the rule of law and client care.

Qualifications

• Immigration and Asylum accreditation (or willingness to become accredited quickly)
• Paralegal experience in immigration/asylum
• High standard of general education
• Strong IT skills (Word/Outlook/Excel/PDF) and internet literacy
• Excellent written English grammar and spelling
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Accurate typing (60 wpm minimum)
• Experience in Immigration and Asylum law and related online systems (UKVI/MyHMCTS/HMCTS E-Filing)
• Understanding of the UK legal system, especially immigration, citizenship and human rights
• Familiarity with legal case management systems
• Ability in another language besides English
