DWF is currently hiring an experienced Paralegal to join the Motor Fast Track team in Liverpool.

The Motor Fast Track team advises and defends litigated Road Traffic Accident (RTA) claims for insurer clients and handles counterclaims. Fast Track covers civil personal injury claims valued between £1,000 and £25,000, and property damage claims over £10,000.

You will gain exposure to a range of matters, from minor injuries to complex accidents and procedural issues, working closely with established clients and colleagues.

The role is primarily office-based with scope for hybrid working over time.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage a caseload of Motor Fast Track litigated files.
  2. Handle incoming correspondence and update case management systems proactively.
  3. Provide advice on liability, quantum, procedural updates, and reserves.
  4. Review and gather medical reports and records for injury claims where appropriate.
What will help you succeed in this role?
Essential
  • At least 2 years of experience managing litigated files in defense litigation or equivalent Motor Fast Track caseload experience.
  • Experience handling claims in a legal environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer literacy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable
  • Knowledge of the Motor Personal Injury market.
  • Experience with the Visual Files case management system.
  • Understanding of Management Information use.
