Phillips Solicitors Limited is expanding its Commercial Property team and is looking for new Paralegals or Legal Secretaries based in Basingstoke. We are welcoming new Paralegals or Legal Secretaries into our Commercial Property team. These are key roles in our expanding team based out of Basingstoke, helping us to provide expertise and support to our growing client base.

The Commercial Property team

Our current commercial property team has seen significant double-digit year on year growth for more than 3 years and it continues to expand. The team provides expert legal advice and assistance to our clients throughout their journey. As part of this team, you will be an ambassador for Phillips Law, helping us to maintain our reputation for excellence.

What You’ll be doing

• You’ll be ensuring the team is organised by managing diaries and liaising with clients.
• You’ll support the team in file opening and closing process, including issuing engagement papers alongside general administration.
• You’ll be creating documents and correspondence.
• You’ll be involved with business development activities and will work with marketing department.
• You’ll be involved in the billing and payment process – preparing invoices, completion statements, and financial statements.
• You’ll be responsible for ordering official copies and property searches, filling in Stamp Duty Land Tax returns and submitting Land Registry applications

To be successful for this position, you must have:

• Commercial property secretarial experience – gained as a Legal Secretary, Legal Assistant, or Paralegal.
• Ideally more than 3 years legal sector experience.
