Job summary

DWF Law LLP in Belfast is seeking a Paralegal to support the Fraud & Motor teams. This hybrid role involves handling cases, conducting legal research, and preparing documents for a fast-paced environment.

You will work closely with Solicitors, clients, and insurers to gather evidence, review files, and ensure timely progression of claims, with opportunities to develop your skills in injury, fraud, and motor litigation.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a legal environment or similar role.
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in legal research and using case management software.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Handle a caseload of personal injury, fraud and motor related claims, conduct legal research, case preparation, and drafting legal documents.
• Review and assess motor insurance claims, identifying potential fraud indicators.
• Collaborate with clients, insurers, and other parties to obtain necessary evidence and documentation.
• Prepare court bundles and manage the filing of legal documents.
• Maintain accurate records and case files using the firm’s case management system.
• Liaise with clients and external parties, providing updates and ensuring case progression.
• Assist with the investigation of claims, including reviewing evidence such as CCTV footage, accident reports, and witness statements.
• Conduct legal research and prepare briefs for Solicitors.

Desirable

• Experience including insurance and litigation, preferably with some knowledge of personal injury, fraud and motor.
