The Opportunity

This is your chance to join the Customers & Corporate Legal Team at EDF Energy in the UK as a Paralegal in Debt Recovery. You will support contentious matters, draft proceedings, and work closely on court cases with the Managing Legal Counsel. What You’ll Be Doing

• Managing litigation within the Customers & Corporate unit, including defending and initiating claims against EDF Energy.
• Leading recovery actions for unpaid energy charges, managing the litigation process from start to finish, including court appearances and enforcement of judgments.
• Providing timely, relevant legal advice on contractual, statutory, and regulatory issues.
• Collaborating with business partners to understand objectives and anticipate legal needs.

Who You Are

• Experienced in debt recovery, litigation, and dispute resolution, with a background in in-house or law firm environments.
• Comfortable in high-pressure situations and capable of representing EDF Energy in court.
• Organized, capable of managing a demanding caseload independently, and meeting deadlines.
• A strategic thinker who provides commercially relevant legal advice and collaborates effectively with business partners.
