Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Paralegal, Legal Assistant, or similar role is desirable.
• Strong academic background and genuine interest in clinical negligence law.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational and administrative skills.
• Good written and verbal communication, with sensitivity to clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to solicitors handling a caseload of claimant clinical negligence claims.
• Assist with investigation and preparation of claims, including reviewing medical records and chronologies.
• Conduct legal research and assist with documents and correspondence.
• Draft routine legal documents, letters, and client communications under supervision.
• Assist with instructions to medical experts and counsel.
• Liaise with clients, medical professionals, and third parties professionally.
• Maintain accurate case records and assist with compliance and file management.
• Support solicitors with case progression, including settlements, mediations, and hearings.
• Develop knowledge of clinical negligence law and commit to professional development.
