Job summary

DAC Beachcroft LLP in Birmingham is seeking a Paralegal to join its Casualty Injury team. The role supports employers' liability and public liability claims up to £100k, with training provided and a path to develop expertise in EL/PL personal injury.

You will gain hands-on experience handling a range of EL/PL claims, develop time management and build valuable client relationships within a leading national firm.

The role is available from our Newport or Birmingham offices.Due to continued growth driven by strong client relationships and recent client wins,, DAC Beachcroft's Casualty Injury team is on the lookout for a number of talented Paralegals.

Our Casualty Injury team focuses on employers' liability and public liability claims, with claims valued up to £100k. This is your chance to work within a dynamic and supportive team (with full and supportive training provided), handling a diverse range of EL/PL claims and making a real impact.

What you will do?

• Ensuring claims are progressed proactively and efficiently to conclusion
• Embracing the training provided and the support given to all new starters to assist in your legal development, the litigation process and with handling litigated claims more generally.
• With support where needed, devising clear case strategies, balancing the commercial interests of both the firm and the client.
• Ensuring work meets client needs, firm’s commercial requirements, and quality standards
• Working collaboratively with other teams ensuring that you build your internal network of contacts.
• Applying current technical expertise and case law to each claim whilst also maintaining and developing technical knowledge through training sessions and reading relevant publications.
• Engaging with clients and support business development plans to maximize opportunities to meet and build rapport, always acting as an ambassador of the firm.

Who you are

• Paralegals with 0-1+ years’ experience in a similar role, ideally with EL/PL experience. However, we are happy to consider candidates with alternative backgrounds such as Claimant, motor, disease, pre‑litigated Defendant work, clinical negligence, profin etc.
• Good organisation skills, able to work to deadlines, prioritise own workload, met conflicting demands and has a strong work ethic.
• Able to produce work to a high standard, with excellent attention to detail and concern for quality of service.
• Someone who is enthusiastic about joining a well‑established and highly thought of Casualty Injury (EL/PL) team and who can see themselves building a future with DAC Beachcroft.
• Eager to collaborate and build lasting relationships with colleagues, becoming an integral part of a growing team.
