Job description

Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join their Corporate team on a permanent, full-time basis. The successful candidate will support Partners and fee-earners across a range of legal matters, often acting as the first point of contact for clients and managing workstreams effectively. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in corporate law within a busy legal practice.

Job Duties:

• Conduct legal research to support fee-earners
• Proofread legal documents to ensure accuracy and eliminate errors
• Prepare court bundles for hearings and legal proceedings
• Draft legal opinions including Capacity and Due Execution opinions and Enforceability opinions
• Draft various legal agreements, including Security Interest agreements
• Prepare Corporate Authorisation and other ancillary transaction documents
• Review and comment on constitutional documents of Jersey-incorporated companies
• Assist with listings and provide ongoing support with file management

Job Requirements:

• Law degree or equivalent legal qualification
• Strong legal research capabilities
• Eagerness to develop professionally and learn quickly
• Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong command of English grammar and punctuation
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
