Job description

Are you a Paralegal with a passion for employment law looking to develop your career within an in-house legal team? Do you enjoy managing a varied caseload while working alongside experienced employment lawyers on complex tribunal matters?

ISS is looking for a Paralegal to join our Employment Law team, based at our London headquarters in South Quay. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting employment tribunal litigation, managing your own caseload of unfair dismissal and wage claims, and providing legal support within one of the UK's leading workplace and facilities management organisations.

What you'll be doing
  • Manage and support employment tribunal claims, including unfair dismissal and wage claims, from initial instruction through to conclusion.
  • Draft tribunal responses, prepare hearing bundles, witness statements and other legal documentation, while liaising with external counsel and barristers.
  • Maintain case files, legal trackers and risk reports, ensuring accurate case management and administration.
  • Build strong relationships with HR, managers and key stakeholders, providing timely legal support and maintaining a high standard of client service.
  • Conduct legal research, support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the effective operation of the Employment Law team.
What we're looking for
  • Previous experience in a Paralegal, Legal Assistant or legal administration role, ideally within employment law.
  • Excellent drafting, communication and organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage a busy caseload, prioritise effectively and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the business.
  • A Law degree, Legal Executive qualification or CIPD qualification with employment law modules is desirable.
  • Previous experience of employment tribunals, HR or an in-house legal environment would be advantageous.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career within a supportive in-house legal team, working alongside experienced employment lawyers on a broad range of employment matters. You'll gain valuable exposure to tribunal litigation, strengthen your technical expertise and play an important role in supporting a business with over 35,000 employees across the UK.

If you're looking for a role where you can broaden your employment law experience, take ownership of your work and make a real impact within a collaborative legal team, we'd love to hear from you.
