Job summary

Major, Lindsey & Africa are working with an established asset management business in Manchester to hire an experienced Paralegal on an initial six-month contract.

The role focuses on a broad range of commercial contracts, including NDAs, MSAs, supplier and service agreements. You will review, draft and negotiate agreements and help with wider legal matters as required, working closely with lawyers and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience as a paralegal with exposure to commercial contracts.
• Based in or around Manchester; able to work from the office several days a week.
• Experience in in-house or commercial law firms is advantageous.

Major, Lindsey & Africa are working with an established asset management business is looking to hire an experienced Paralegal to join its legal team in Manchester on an initial six-month contract, with the potential for a longer-term opportunity. This is a great chance to join a collegiate in-house legal function and gain exposure to a varied workload within the financial services sector.

The role will focus primarily on a broad range of commercial contracts, including NDAs, MSAs, supplier agreements, service agreements and other general commercial arrangements, supporting the legal team with reviewing, drafting and negotiating agreements and helping with wider legal matters as required. It would suit a confident Paralegal who enjoys varied commercial work and is comfortable working closely with lawyers and stakeholders across the business.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must be based in or around Manchester and have prior experience working on commercial contracts.

Requirements:

• 2 years+ experience working as a Paralegal, ideally with good exposure to commercial contracts
• Previous experience within an in-house legal team or commercial law firm would be advantageous
• Confident reviewing and assisting with the drafting and negotiation of a range of commercial agreements
• Manchester-based and able to work from the office a few days per week
