Qualifications

• Experienced paralegal with strong commercial contracts exposure.

• Experience in financial services or regulated environments is advantageous but not essential.

We're currently supporting a leading global investment management and financial services organisation with the appointment of an Interim Commercial Paralegal. With a highly regarded legal function and a strong track record of converting contractors into permanent hires, this is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative in-house legal team supporting a sophisticated, international business.

The successful candidate will work closely with legal and business stakeholders, assisting with the review, drafting and negotiation of a broad range of commercial agreements that support the firm's day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives.

• Reviewing, drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and related documentation.
• Supporting legal counsel on a wide variety of supplier, technology, procurement and business services agreements.
• Managing contract workflows and stakeholder engagement across the business.
• Assisting with legal risk assessment and contract-related queries.
• Providing general commercial legal support to a busy in-house legal team.

About You

• Experienced paralegal with strong commercial contracts exposure.
• Comfortable reviewing and negotiating agreements with minimal supervision.
• Previous in-house experience is highly desirable.
• Experience gained within financial services, asset management, banking, insurance or another regulated environment would be advantageous, but is not essential.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

The Opportunity

• Initial 6-month contract.
• Potential for extension and/or longer-term permanent opportunities.
• Preference for candidates based in Manchester, although London and Dublin applicants will also be considered.
