Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking General Practitioners for flexible locum sessions in Par, offering autonomy and variety across primary care settings. You will provide urgent access care, routine reviews, and triage, supported by clinical and administrative teams to ensure safe, efficient practice.

Ideal candidates are GMC-registered GPs with NHS Performers List inclusion and experience in GP or urgent care. Flexible shifts include weekdays, evenings, and weekends with ongoing or ad-hoc opportunities.

Qualifications

• GMC registration required to practice as GP.
• Inclusion on NHS Performers List.
• Experience in GP, urgent care or community primary care settings.
• Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication with patients and teams.
• Valid indemnity insurance and Enhanced DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Manage urgent and routine GP clinics across primary care settings.
• Conduct telephone consultations and triage.
• Assess acute, chronic and undifferentiated presentations.
• Prescribe within scope and handle medication queries.
• Review results, referrals and follow-up actions.
• Record accurate clinical notes in service systems.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams.
