Locum Ready is seeking General Practitioners for flexible locum shifts in Crook and surrounding areas. You will provide urgent access appointments, routine reviews, and telephone consultations across varied primary care settings, with strong clinical autonomy and supportive teams.

Applicants should be GMC-registered with NHS Performers List inclusion and indemnity, and possess experience in GP or urgent care contexts.

Qualifications

• GMC-registered GP with NHS performers list eligibility.
• Experience in GP, urgent care or community primary care settings.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new clinical environments.
• Strong clinical reasoning and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing urgent and routine GP clinics across different primary care settings.
• Conducting telephone consultations and triage.
• Assessing acute, chronic and undifferentiated presentations.
• Prescribing within scope and handling medication queries.
• Reviewing results, referrals and follow-up actions.
• Recording accurate clinical notes in service-specific systems.
• Working collaboratively with clinical and administrative teams.
