Job description

Job Title: Panel Wirer Fitter (Factory Based)

Location: West Brom

Pay Rate: 13 - 20ph

Start Date: Immediate

Contract Type: Temporary Ongoing

Working Hours: 40 hours per week

  • Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
  • Friday: 7:00 AM - 1:40 PM
  • Includes a daily break for lunch


Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Panel Wirer Fitter to join our factory-based team in West Brom on a temporary ongoing basis. This role involves a variety of electrical engineering tasks focused on control panels and units. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Select and mount electrical components accurately
  • Wire electrical components to specification
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical faults
  • Perform electrical testing and inspection
  • Refurbish electrical units as required
  • Complete all job-related paperwork and documentation
  • Modify and troubleshoot PLC systems
  • Support general workshop duties as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area


Required Experience & Competencies:

  • Qualified Electrical Engineer or Multi-Skilled Engineer with PLC experience
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Qualification
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics
  • Competent with IT and Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong communication skills - verbal and written
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and a proactive problem solver
  • Flexible, adaptable, and a collaborative team player
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites if required


Training & Development:

You will be expected to participate in any training and development activities deemed necessary for your role or professional growth.
