Electrical Fitter & Wirer - Loughborough

What's the Opportunity?

We're recruiting for an Electrical Fitter & Wirer to join our clients team in Loughborough. This is a hands-on role where you'll be wiring, fitting, and assembling control panels and switchgear to specification - both in the workshop and occasionally on customer sites.

Hourly Rate: £12.50 - £14.00 (depending on experience)

Working Hours:

• 
  

  Monday to Thursday: 07:00 - 16:00

  
  




• 
  

  Friday: 07:00 - 13:30

  
  




• 
  

  Regular overtime available, including Saturday mornings

  
  

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  

  Assembling and wiring low voltage switchgear panels from engineering drawings

  
  




• 
  

  Building control panels including mounting and wiring components (e.g. MCCBs, ACBs, fuse switches)

  
  




• 
  

  Reading and working from bespoke electrical and pneumatic schematics

  
  




• 
  

  Conducting inspections and quality checks on all assemblies

  
  




• 
  

  Carrying out installations and commissioning on customer sites (UK-wide)

  
  




• 
  

  Identifying and resolving build or wiring issues during the process

  
  




• 
  

  Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment

  
  

Requirements:

• 
  

  Proven experience as an electrical fitter, wirer, or panel builder

  
  




• 
  

  Confident reading wiring diagrams and technical drawings

  
  




• 
  

  Skilled in using standard hand tools and fitting techniques

  
  




• 
  

  A positive, independent work ethic and good attention to detail

  
  




• 
  

  Willingness to travel and stay overnight for site installations when required

  
  




• 
  

  Clean UK driving licence

  
  




•
