Job summary

The Resourcing Team agency is sourcing a Pre-Build Engineer (Panel wireman) for a security-focused company. The role is based in our pre-build workshop in Newcastle Upon Tyne, with responsibilities around panel wiring, stock control, and meeting deadlines.

You will need a proven electrical/electronic background, ability to read schematics, and experience in factory acceptance testing. The package includes tools, a laptop and ongoing training, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Proven electrical/electronic background with panel wiring.
• Experience reading and following schematic drawings.
• Experience in factory acceptance testing.
• Awareness of stock control to maintain productivity.
• Capable of meeting strict deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Computer literacy in basic IT.
• Strong focus on health, safety and quality on site.
• Able to communicate with all levels of personnel.
• Professional in approach and manner at all times.
• Flexible during periods of change.
• Ability to learn, understand, promote and apply new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily work activities and report progress and issues to the Pre-build Supervisor.
• Report defects, snags and complaints to the Pre-build Supervisor.
• Report Health & Safety defects/incidents to the Pre-build Supervisor.
• Ensure image and name of RHI Industrials Ltd is upheld at all times.
• Liaise with Client's representatives as required.
• Ensure company management systems and processes are followed.
• Promote material sustainability initiatives to reduce waste and costs.
• Report defective materials and substandard workmanship to the Pre-build Supervisor.
• Provide own basic hand tools when required.
