Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to design electrical control panels to customer standards, generate detailed EPLAN schematics, and support projects from concept through commissioning.

The role combines office-based design with occasional site involvement and offers training, progression, and a bonus scheme within a growing engineering business.

Qualifications

• Electrical Engineering qualification (Level 3 or above)
• Experience with EPLAN or similar CAD software
• Full UK driving licence

Responsibilities

• Design control panels in line with customer and industry standards
• Produce schematics and documentation using EPLAN
• Support testing, inspection, and commissioning activities
• Assist with Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)
• Provide technical support across the wider business
• Occasional UK travel and overnight stays
