ACS Automotive Recruitment is seeking an experienced Panel Beater for a growing family-run bodyshop in Wickford, Essex. The role covers body panel repairs, stripping and fitting, and working as part of a hands-on team to deliver high-quality results.

You'll assess damage, repair or replace panels, weld where required, and maintain a safe, tidy workshop. The position offers a salary of £40,000-£55,000 per annum, with overtime and occasional Saturdays.

Panel Beater

Wickford, Essex

£40,000-£55,000 per annum, depending on experience

Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, with overtime and occasional Saturdays

ACS Automotive are recruiting for an experienced Panel Beater to join a growing, family-run vehicle repair and refinishing business in Wickford.

This opportunity would suit someone who takes pride in producing high-quality repairs and enjoys working within a friendly, hands-on team. Alongside panel beating, you should be comfortable helping with other bodyshop tasks, particularly stripping and fitting, as workloads require.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assessing damage and using appropriate repair methods to restore vehicle bodywork.
• Repairing and replacing damaged panels and structural components.
• Removing damaged panels and fitting and welding replacement panels.
• Carrying out stripping and fitting work to support the repair process.
• Working closely with colleagues to complete repairs efficiently and to a high standard.
• Maintaining a safe, clean and organised working environment.

What we're looking for:

• Proven experience as a Panel Beater within a bodyshop.
• Strong repair skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Experience in stripping and fitting, with a flexible approach to supporting the wider workshop.
• The ability to work efficiently without compromising quality.
• A positive attitude and good communication skills.

ATA accreditation or an NVQ Level 3 qualification would be advantageous, but experienced candidates without formal qualifications are welcome to apply. You must be willing to work towards relevant qualifications, with support available from the business.
