HARIBO Castleford is seeking a Panama Production Fitter to join the Panama Engineering team. The role involves mechanical maintenance of production machinery for sugar confectionery, reporting to the Shift Supervisor, and coordinating with Production, Packing, HSE, and Technical Services.

Working on a 2-week rota with 12-hour and 10-hour shifts, you’ll perform preventative maintenance, respond to breakdowns, and assist with installation/commissioning of equipment.

Qualificações

• A mechanical Apprenticeship is essential.
• A manufacturing background with experience of case packers and palletising systems is essential.
• Practical problem-solving skills.
• Experience in the installation and commissioning of production machinery.
• Good communication skills.
• The ability to make decisions under pressure.
• Good IT skills.
• A manufacturing background with experience of various types of production would be ideal.

Responsabilidades

• Completing jobs in line with the preventative maintenance schedule
• Responding quickly and effectively to all breakdowns
• Preparing machines in line with the planning schedule including carrying out changeover where required
• Ensuring all activities are carried out in line with the standards expected in the food industry
• Carrying out project/installation work as requested
• Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with any Permit to Works, Job recording, fire alarm muting, Health & Safety and hygiene set system of work
• To complete fabrication work including milling, turning, welding, pneumatics and hydraulics
• Installation and commissioning of packing machinery

We are on the hunt for a ‘Panama Production Fitter’ to come and join our Panama Engineering team based out of our Castleford site.

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor on a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for providing mechanical maintenance services to all machinery and equipment used for the production of sugar confectionery.

You will have key relationships with other departments including but not limited to; Production, Packing, HSE, Technical Services and Engineering.

Hours of work:

Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday

Week 2: Wednesday and Thursday

Monday – Friday = 12-hour shifts (06:00 – 18:00)

Saturday and Sunday = 10-hour shifts (06:00 – 16:00)
