Job summary

St Michaels Hospice is seeking a clinician to join the Palliative Care MDT to deliver high quality palliative care to patients and relatives within the hospice and community. You will work closely with Consultants in Palliative Medicine to ensure the highest standards of care and to develop services that meet changing patient needs.

You will undertake medical assessment, participate in on-call rotas, maintain records, contribute to CPD and revalidation, and support education events for the MDT.

Qualifications

• Qualified medical doctor with GMC registration.
• Commitment to CPD and revalidation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality palliative care with the MDT and consultants.
• Undertake medical assessment, diagnosis and management.
• Initiate appropriate medical care and prescribe per policies.
• Record clinical notes and manage drug records; complete TTOs.
• Attend MDT meetings and participate in CPD and revalidation processes.
