Job summary

Highland Hospice in Inverness and surrounding area is seeking a PCRS Practitioner to provide compassionate palliative care. You will support service users and families, work within a multidisciplinary team, and contribute to excellent holistic care in a sensitive setting.

The role involves driving to patient visits, maintaining detailed records, and meeting SVQ2 Health & Social Care requirements. A full driving licence is essential and a vehicle is provided for work.

Qualifications

• SVQ 2 Health and Social Care or equivalent.
• Experience in holistic, person-centred care.
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Support family members and other professionals to provide holistic, person-centred palliative care.
• Support service users with physical and emotional needs.
• Assist with personal care, toileting, bathing and dressing.

Location: Inverness and surrounding area

Salary: £29,109 - £31, 409 per annum, pro-rata (£14.88/hour rising to £16.06/hour on completion of SVQ2 (SCQF Level 6) qualification in Health & Social Care).

Saturday and Sunday working - Time +50%

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PCRS PRACTITIONER

Reporting to the PCRS Co-ordinator, you can expect your working day to include the following:

• Supporting family members and other professionals to provide excellent holistic, person-centred, palliative care.
• Supporting Service Users with their physical and emotional needs.
• Assisting with personal care, toileting, bathing and dressing

• SVQ 2 Health and Social Care or equivalent - or willingness to work towards this.
• Full Driving Licence and a vehicle to use.
• Dedicated and passionate about making a real difference to people’s lives.
