Job summary

Highland Hospice in Inverness is seeking a Care at Home Practitioner to support end-of-life care in the Inverness area. You will work bank hours, visiting service users at home and coordinating with family members and multidisciplinary teams. The role requires compassion, resilience and excellent record-keeping.

SVQ 2 Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards) and a full driving licence with access to a vehicle are essential. Training and development opportunities are provided.

Salary: £29,109 - £31, 409per annum, pro-rata (£14.88/hour rising to £16.06/hour on completion of SVQ2 (SCQF Level 6) qualification in Health & Social Care)

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PCRSCARE AT HOME PRACTITIONER

Reporting to the PCRS Co-ordinator, you can expect your working day to include the following:

  • Supporting family members and other professionals to provide excellent holistic, person-centred, palliative care.
  • Supporting Service Users with their physical and emotional needs.
  • Assisting with personal care, toileting, bathing, dressing and meals
