Job summary

Katharine House Hospice in Stafford is seeking a Palliative Care Nurse Specialist to deliver advanced community-based palliative care. You will manage a caseload of patients with complex needs, provide expert advice to families and professionals, and contribute to 7-day-a-week advice line operations in patients' homes and care settings.

You will be an Independent Prescriber if qualified and lead on education and service development.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the NMC and educated to degree level.
• Experience delivering palliative care in a clinical setting.
• Non-medical prescribing qualification preferred or willing to undertake.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialist palliative care to patients in the community.
• Support patients, families and professionals with expert advice.
• Contribute to ongoing clinical governance, audits and development of services.
• Participate in an advice line and in ensuring continuity of care.
