Job summary

UCLH NHS Trust seeks a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Symptom Control & Palliative Care to support the palliative care team. The role involves advanced clinical assessment of patients with complex needs and close collaboration with the Care of Vulnerable Adults and Children policies.

You will be professionally accountable within the NHS framework, adhering to the Standards for Better Health and the NMC Code of Conduct/HCPC guidelines as part of a holistic palliative care approach.

Responsibilities

• To be professionally and legally accountable for all work undertaken.
• To undertake specialist clinical assessment of clients with complex palliative care needs through questioning, examination, and review of appropriate written material.
• To prioritise factors involved in the patients and informal carers condition through advanced clinical reasoning.
• To identify patients, their informal carers or children who may be at risk and vulnerable.
• Promptly enact the process outlined in the policies for Care of Vulnerable Adults and Care of Vulnerable Children.
