Job summary

North London Hospice in Finchley is seeking a compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our Inpatient Unit on a bank/casual basis. During the refurbishment of our Inpatient Unit, the temporary base will be Jade Ward at Edgware Community Hospital, with the role returning to Finchley when works are finished.

You will help deliver high-quality, person-centred care, assisting with personal care, mobility, nutrition and hydration, recording observations, and reporting changes to the nursing team

Qualifications

• Experience in a healthcare setting is desirable, although we welcome applications from individuals with the right values and a genuine passion for delivering excellent care.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal care, mobility, nutrition and hydration.
• Record clinical observations and maintain accurate patient records.
• Report changes in patients' conditions to the nursing team.
• Support clinical procedures, contribute to pressure area care and infection prevention measures.
• Assist with transfers and discharges.
• Provide compassionate support to patients and their families.
