Job summary

The Royal Household is seeking Palace Attendants to help assemble spaces for official and private entertaining at Buckingham Palace and other royal residences. You will handle setup, movement of items, and ensure exceptional service standards across events and visitor experiences.

No prior experience is required as full training is provided; a positive, proactive, and friendly approach is essential for delivering outstanding hospitality in a working royal environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience is not essential as training will be provided.
• Enthusiastic about delivering excellent hospitality service within a professional environment.
• Natural team player with ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, contractors, guests and visitors.
• Keen attention to detail and good time management skills.
• Physically active role including lifting and working safely at height; driving licence desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out physical tasks to maintain presentation and smooth operation of the Palace.
• Move furniture, works of art, antiques, carpets, luggage and other items as needed.
• Set up for department meetings and support official events or State Rooms preparations.
• Welcome and guide guests; assist with public opening operations and guest experience.
• Assist with event technology and operational requirements.
• Support contractor escorting, internal deliveries and safety procedures.
