Zusammenfassung

Severfield is seeking a Paintshop Manager for our Dalton site. You will oversee protective coatings application, ensure adhesion to specifications, and report on coating integrity, while supporting efficient paint shop operations.

The role requires leadership of direct reports, strong experience in a painting environment, and appropriate NACE/ICorr Level 2 qualifications. An additional RPC qualification is desirable, with emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifikationen

• Experience leading paint/coatings operations in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of coating inspection standards and quality control.
• Able to manage budgets, labour, and timelines while maintaining safety standards.

Aufgaben

• Ensure all products are painted to the defined specifications and quality standards.
• Coordinate with paint suppliers for materials and service visits.
• Monitor consumption and manage departmental budgets for overheads.
• Plan hours, overtime, and priorities to meet project deadlines.
• Lead and develop team members, tracking KPIs and reducing safety incidents.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the paint shop.
• Provide input on primers, intumescent coatings, and sealers during tender phases.
