Job summary

Elevation Recruitment Group, exclusively partnered with a well-established manufacturing business in Doncaster, seeks a Paint Supervisor to lead its paint-line operation and a team of around 10.

This hands-on leadership role covers day-to-day running, safety, quality and on-time delivery, with 8am–4pm hours and a salary of £35,000–£42,000. Doncaster-based candidates encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a manufacturing/production team.
• Proven experience with industrial paint, coating or anodising processes.
• Strong understanding of process control, surface preparation and coating quality.
• Excellent people-management skills and proactive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of day-to-day operation and performance of the paint line.
• Lead a team of about 10 including shift leaders, operators and QA staff.
• Coach, develop and motivate the team to build a committed culture.
• Manage production plans to meet output, quality, cost and delivery targets.
• Oversee paint and coating processes to meet finish and quality standards.
• Maintain process controls across preparation, application, curing and inspection.
• Investigate defects and quality issues; implement corrective actions.
• Monitor productivity, downtime, scrap and rework; drive improvements.
• Work with maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Ensure safe handling of materials and chemicals; comply with H&S rules.
• Promote continuous improvement across the department.
