Job summary

Wheatley Homes South is seeking a skilled Painter and Decorator to join our team in Stranraer and surrounding areas. The role delivers a Repairs and Void painting service in both empty and tenanted properties, with a focus on customer excellence and right-first-time delivery.

The ideal candidate will be time-served with 3–5 years’ experience, a City & Guilds Painting and Decorating qualification, strong IT skills, and COSHH knowledge. A PDA and good communication are also desired.

Qualifications

• Time-served painter and decorator with 3–5 years' experience.
• Ability to patch plastering and remediate damp/mould.
• Good IT skills and preferably PDAs.
• Strong health & safety awareness including COSHH.
• City & Guilds Painting and Decorating qualification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide a reliable painting and decorating service for Wheatley Homes South, in Repairs and Void work.
• Work in both empty and tenanted properties.
• Deliver a Right First Time service and meet KPI, Health & Safety and compliance requirements.
