Job description

Permanent - Full Time

We are looking to recruit a Painter & Decorator to join us working on our East End Homes contract, based at The Campus, Welwyn Garden City AL8 6AE.

About the Role

Working to deliver the best quality service, you’ll carry out responsive and planned painting and decorating to both occupied and void properties, including glossing, emulsion, papering, and addressing damp and mould issues. You’ll ensure effective preparation techniques, producing perfect finishes, while delivering exceptional customer service to ensure our customers always come first. Skills in plastering and tiling would be advantageous. You’ll receive and complete assigned tasks using a handheld device (full training provided), working efficiently and safely in line with best practices to achieve excellent customer experience.

About You

Candidates will hold a relevant trade City and Guilds qualification, C&G Craft or Level 2 in a relevant trade or equivalent, or be working towards it. A CSCS Card - Blue or working towards it, with excellent health and safety knowledge, is required.

You should be customer-focused with experience working in both occupied and void properties, with a passion for completing high-quality repairs on time and first time. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential. Good knowledge of damp treatments is also required for this role.

You must hold a valid full or automatic UK driving licence held for at least 12 months, as a company vehicle (for work use only) will be provided.
