An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Painter/Decorator to join their Ministry of Justice account in Rugby. We have a brand new opportunity for a permanent Painter/Decorator to join our Ministry of Justice (MoJ) account in HMP Onley in Rugby. This role is based on-site.
There is a need to work some weekends on a rota basis which comes with an additional allowance of 15% of basic salary.
The standard hours of work are 39 hours per week.

Painter/Decorator plays an important part in ensuring the planned and reactive maintenance work within the prisons is carried out in a safe, compliant and timely manner.
You will be responsible for:
What makes this role unique is you will ensure all works are carried out to the highest safety standards, sometimes working alongside and supervising the work of prisoners. Prison Security Clearance will be required (Amey will support you through this process).
We want to hear from you if you have:
Ideally you will be qualified to NVQ level 3 in Painting and Decorating; however, we will consider applications if you have NVQ level 2.
In addition to this, it would be desirable if you are comfortable working alongside prisoners and have experience in sharing best practices with others to help you hit the ground running, although this is not essential as we will provide you with the required development you need to bring you up to speed.
