The Mercure London Earls Court hotel is a newly renovated property in Southwest London. The property is a large conferencing & group hotel comprising a total of 508 keys, across two distinct brands within Accor, Ibis & Mercure. The London Suite is the main ballroom for all types of events, divisible into nine separate meeting rooms, accommodating up to 1200 guests. The F & B outlets, including Barnaby’s, offer versatile spaces for social events, private functions, and catering.

Job Description

The Painter and Decorator is responsible for painting, varnishing, wallpapering, and applying other protective and decorative materials to interior and exterior walls and surfaces.

Main Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain all painted areas of hotel rooms, public areas, and back of house areas.
  • Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance as per procedures.
  • Assist with repairing fixtures, fittings, and appliances for guests and staff.
  • Conduct daily inspections of the building following maintenance routines.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workshop area.
  • Understand the hotel layout, technical services, security devices, and safety routines.
  • Monitor and manage the storage and issue of materials, equipment, and spares, maintaining stock levels.
  • Inspect and maintain maintenance equipment, reporting or repairing defects.
  • Control the security of hotel tools and keys.
  • Understand the hotel product and design.
  • Be flexible to meet guest demands throughout the working day.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as required.
