Job summary

Aster Group is looking for a Painter & Decorator to join our Dorset team and manage painting projects from start to finish. You will assess issues, perform mould cleaning, and complete high‑quality decorating work while supporting other service areas as needed.

You’ll have a painting qualification or NVQ (or proven field experience), and a valid UK manual driving licence to operate our company vehicle. 37 hours per week with flexible working where possible.

Qualifications

• Painter and decorating qualification, NVQ or similar, or proven track record in painting and decorating.
• Ability to identify causes and specify materials for painting and decorating issues.
• Experience working with internal and external customers and managing expectations.
• Hold a full UK manual driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Complete painting and decorating repairs from start to finish, including identifying underlying issues and mould cleaning/remedial treatments.
• Carry out decoration work to a high standard as part of the Dorset Damp and Mould Team.

Job description

Salary: £29,472 per annum

Location: Dorset

Hours: 37 hours per week

As a Painter & Decorator in the Dorset team you'll be completing painting and decorating repairs from start to finish, including identifying any underlying issues, carrying out mould cleaning and remedial treatments where required, and completing decoration work to a high standard.

You will predominantly be working within our Damp and Mould Team to ensure customers' homes are maintained to a suitable standard, although there may be times when you support other areas of the service as business needs require.

About you

You’ll have a painter and decorating qualification, NVQ or similar or have a proven track record of working in this field.

You’ll be able to identify causes and specify materials required to rectify painting and decorating issues.

You’ll be working with a variety of teams and communicating with them regularly, so you’ll be confident in managing expectations of both internal and external customers.

You’ll be using a company vehicle, so you’ll need a full UK manual driving licence.
