Job description

Job Title: Painter and Decorator

Rate of pay: £12.75 per hour

Contract: Permanent, Full Time

Hours: 39 hours per week

Location: Mitie, T2 Trinity Park, Bickenhill Lane, Birmingham, West Midlands, England, B37 7ES

Job Responsibilities:

1. Carry out internal and external painting and decorating.
2. Perform preparation works to walls and minor repairs to surfaces and structures prior to decorating/painting.
3. Erect access equipment as required, with appropriate training, and manage access plant and temporary screening to protect the environment and people.
4. Monitor decorating material stock and request new stock as needed.
5. Ensure all works are completed within the approved budget and that painting and decorating equipment is well-maintained, clean, and reusable.

Candidate Requirements:

• Hold a recognised qualification or have at least 5 years of checkable experience in painting and decorating.
• Preferably completed a recognised apprenticeship.
• Be organised, self-motivated, and possess good communication and customer service skills.
• A full driving licence is preferred but not essential.
