Job summary

Circle Health Group's Kings Oak Hospital in Enfield is seeking a Painter and Decorator for bank shifts. You will join the Operations team to cover busy periods and holiday absences.

You will provide internal and external painting, touch up and refurbishment, and advise on redecoration while ensuring lease obligations are met, with training and safety obligations met.

Qualifications

• CSCS Card at appropriate level of qualification.
• Trained on high working, Pasma/Ladder use.
• Ability to hang all types and styles of wall coverings.
• Work under own initiative in a methodical process.
• Experience working with Contractors and others.
• Understanding of COSHH and Health & Safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide painting and decorating service to Circle Health Group facilities, interior and exterior.
• Carry out touch ups and fabric refurbishment on a reactive and rolling programme.
• Advise on redecoration and fabric repair requirements across facilities.
• Ensure redecoration aligns with lease obligations.

Salary: Up to £16.00 per hour (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

Kings Oak & Cavell Hospitals in Enfield are part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.

We have an opportunity for a Painter and Decorator to join their team of staff in the Operations department.

This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.

Duties of this role include:

• The provision of a Painting and Decorating service to Circle Health Group Facilities covering both internal and external aspects of the premises.
• Provide touch up and fabric refurbishment service on both a reactive and rolling programme basis.
• Provide competent advice on the redecoration and fabric repair requirements throughout the facilities.
• Ensure redecoration in line with Circle Health Group property lease obligations

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Current Construction Safety Certification Scheme (CSCS) Card at appropriate level of qualification.
• Trained on high working, including Pasma/Ladder use.
• Ability to hang all types and styles of wall coverings e.g. wide width, fabric and paper backed etc.
• Ability to work under own initiative in a methodical process as required.
• Alternatively, part qualifications in Engineering training programme or part completed apprenticeship and specialised in Painting / Decorating afterwards.
• Previous experience in working alongside Contractors and others.
• Working understanding of the COSHH regulations.
• Basic understanding of Health and Safety guidelines and applicable law.
