Job summary

Circle Health Group's Kings Oak and Cavell Hospitals in Enfield seeks a Painter and Decorator. The role is 37.5 hours per week, permanent, with a flexible shift pattern. You will provide painting and decorating services across facilities, including internal and external areas, and perform touch ups on a rolling programme.

Applicants should have a CSCS card, Pasma/Ladder training, and the ability to hang various wall coverings. COSHH awareness and safety training are required.

Qualifications

• Current CSCS Card at appropriate level is required.
• Trained in use of Pasma/Ladders or similar access equipment.
• Ability to hang wall coverings (wide width, fabric, paper backed).
• Capable of working on own initiative in a methodical way.
• Alternate pathway: partial Engineering training or apprenticeship finished, then specialised in Painting/Decorating.
• Experience working with Contractors and others is preferred.
• Understanding of COSHH regulations and health & safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide painting and decorating services for Circle Health Group facilities (internal & external).
• Carry out touch ups and fabric refurbishment on reactive and planned programmes.
• Advise on redecoration and fabric repair needs across facilities.
• Ensure redecoration comply with lease obligations (exterior/interior schedule) and major equipment changes.
• Adhere to mandatory training requirements.

Kings Oak and Cavell Hospitals 37.5 Hours & Permanent Salary: Up to £30,500.00 per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

Kings Oak & Cavell Hospitals in Enfield are part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.

We have an opportunity for an Painter and Decorator to join their team of staff in the Engineering department.

This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties of this role include:

• The provision of a Painting and Decorating service to Circle Health Group Facilities covering both internal and external aspects of the premises.
• Provide touch up and fabric refurbishment service on both a reactive and rolling programme basis.
• Provide competent advice on the redecoration and fabric repair requirements throughout the facilities.
• Ensure redecoration in line with Circle Health Group property lease obligations: Exterior every 5 years, Interior every 7 years to redecorate non-clinical areas, and to redecorate the internal clinical areas of the premises when major equipment is replaced. In any case this redecoration must be done at least once every ten years.
• You comply with all relevant mandatory training.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Current Construction Safety Certification Scheme (CSCS) Card at appropriate level of qualification.
• Trained on high working, including Pasma/Ladder use.
• Ability to hang all types and styles of wall coverings e.g. wide width, fabric and paper backed etc.
• Ability to work under own initiative in a methodical process as required.
• Alternatively, part qualifications in Engineering training programme or part completed apprenticeship and specialised in Painting / Decorating afterwards.
• Previous experience in working alongside Contractors and others.
• Working understanding of the COSHH regulations.
• Basic understanding of Health and Safety guidelines and applicable law.
