Job summary

Hartford Care Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking a skilled Painter & Decorator to join our Maintenance Team. The role involves travelling to care homes along the M3/M4 corridor, performing high‑quality painting and decorating to keep our homes safe, comfortable and well maintained for residents and staff.

You will prep, repair and finish internal and external areas, work at height with ladders or scaffolding, and support basic maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

• Robust painting and decorating experience with high standards.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
• Ability to work at height and use ladders/scaffolding safely.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.
• Full and clean driving licence.

Responsibilities

Job description

This role includes travel to various care homes in and around theM3 & M4 corridor, soadriving licence is essential but a vehical will be provided.

What We’re Looking For:

Essential:

• Robust and high-quality painting and decorating experience with a keen eye for detail
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team, maintaining a high degree of skill and professionalism
• Ability to work at height
• Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations
• Full and clean driving licence

Desirable:

• Painting and Decorating Qualification
• Previous experience within a care setting
• Knowledge of working with people who live with dementia
• Previous experience of carrying out general maintenance tasks
• Good IT skills and knowledge including robust skills in using apps and systems on iPads and other IT equipment
