The Recruitment Group is seeking a skilled Painter & Decorator for internal and external decorating work in the Leicester area. The role requires preparation of surfaces, painting, wallpaper hanging, and minor repairs to deliver a high-quality finish.

Candidates should have relevant NVQ/City & Guilds qualifications or equivalent practical experience, with a strong emphasis on surface prep and safety. On-site parking is provided, and the position is full-time with 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• NVQ/City & Guilds in Painting & Decorating desirable.
• Experience in residential or commercial painting.
• Good knowledge of surface preparation, paints and finishes.
• Awareness of health and safety requirements.

Responsabilités

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling imperfections and applying primers.
• Paint walls, ceilings, woodwork and external surfaces using appropriate products and techniques.
• Apply varnishes, stains and protective finishes where required.
• Hang wallpaper and other wall coverings as necessary.
• Carry out minor repairs and touch-ups to achieve a smooth, professional finish.
• Use tools, materials and equipment safely and correctly.
• Maintain a clean and tidy working area and dispose of waste responsibly.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
• Work independently and alongside other trades to complete tasks on schedule.
• Assist with general decorating and maintenance duties when required.

Person Specification
