Job summary

Hartford Care Ltd. is seeking a skilled Painter & Decorator to join our friendly Maintenance Team across Kent. You will carry out painting and decorating tasks for care homes, including preparation, repair and finishing of both internal and external areas.

Travel between homes is required; a driving licence and vehicle are essential. DBS check will be required, and you will work safely, maintaining high standards while minimizing disruption to residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Robust painting and decorating experience with attention to detail.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work on own initiative as well as in a team.
• Ability to work at height.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.
• Full and clean driving licence.

Responsibilities

Employment Type: Full-time - 40 hours per week

This role includes travel to our care homes in the county of Kent, so a driving licence and a vehicle is essential.

Essential:

• Robust and high-quality painting and decorating experience with a keen eye for detail
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team, maintaining a high degree of skill and professionalism
• Ability to work at height
• Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations
• Full and clean driving licence

Desirable:

• Painting and Decorating Qualification
• Previous experience within a care setting
• Knowledge of working with people who live with dementia
• Previous experience of carrying out general maintenance tasks
• Good IT skills and knowledge including robust skills in using apps and systems on iPads and other IT equipment
