A Facilities Management company is looking to add a painter to join their maintenance team at HMP Stoke Heath to meet growing demand in work completion and delivery.

Your new role

You will be responsible for supervising prisoners whilst they paint the prison. You will also be required to assist the prisoners and join them in painting various areas such as staff rooms, kitchens, visitors receptions, and interior and exterior walls. All tools, paint, and equipment will be supplied by the site.

What you'll need to succeed

You must demonstrate the following qualifications and experience:

• Hold a City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 in Painting and Decorating or an equivalent qualification.
• Substantiated experience in a similar role can be considered as an alternative to formal qualification.

What you'll get in return

You will be paid weekly at a competitive rate. You will receive all relevant training, including health and safety inductions. The role involves working Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week, with opportunities for overtime. Typical working hours are 08:00 - 17:00 with unpaid breaks. Hours may vary slightly to meet site requirements.

• Security clearance by the prison (Hays will organize this for you).
• A valid passport or birth certificate and a photo driving license showing your current address.
• Details of at least 3 years of satisfactory references.
• Own transport is essential due to the prison's location.
