Job summary

FMG Repair Services Limited is hiring a skilled Paint Technician for our Birmingham Bodyshop. You will perform high-quality paint repairs to manufacturer standards, ensuring vehicles are restored safely and efficiently to pre-accident condition.

We offer a strong earning opportunity with an uncapped bonus and exceptional benefits. 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7am–4:30pm, with 23 days annual leave and pension and wellbeing schemes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Painter within a bodyshop environment.
• High-quality workmanship with attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a busy workshop as part of a team.
• Qualifications such as IMI/NVQ are desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out high-quality paint repairs to manufacturer standards.
• Assess vehicle damage and determine repair methods.
• Ensure repairs are completed safely and to high quality.
• Record all work in line with procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workspace.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure top repair quality and customer satisfaction.

As a Paint Technician, you'll be responsible for carrying out high-quality paint repairs to manufacturer standards, ensuring vehicles are restored safely and efficiently to their pre-accident condition. Working alongside a dedicated and professional team, you'll deliver precision workmanship while enjoying excellent rewards and career progression opportunities.

About You

We're seeking an experienced Paint Technician who:

• Has proven experience in paintwork
• Produces high-quality workmanship with great attention to detail
• Works well as part of a skilled team in a busy workshop
• Holds relevant qualifications/accreditations (IMI/NVQ) - desirable but not essential

What we're looking for:

• Proven experience as a Painter within a bodyshop environment
• Strong repair and replacement skills across a variety of vehicle makes and models
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Relevant qualifications (ATA, NVQ, IMI, or equivalent) - desirable but not essential
• A proactive, team-focused approach
• Full UK Driving Licence required
