FMG Repair Services in Birmingham is seeking an experienced Paint Technician to join our expert team at the Birmingham Bodyshop. You will carry out high-quality paint repairs to manufacturer standards, ensuring vehicles are restored safely and efficiently to pre-accident condition, while working with a professional team.

Candidates should have proven paintwork experience, attention to detail, and a proactive team-based approach.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Painter within a bodyshop environment.
• Strong repair and replacement skills across a variety of vehicle makes and models.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Full UK Driving Licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out high-quality paint repairs to manufacturer standards.
• Assess vehicle damage and determine effective repair methods.
• Ensure repairs are completed safely, efficiently and to high quality standards.
• Record all work in line with company procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.

Hours: 45 hours per week 7am - 4.30pm (30 mins lunch)

As a Paint Technician, you’ll be responsible for carrying out high-quality paint repairs to manufacturer standards, ensuring vehicles are restored safely and efficiently to their pre-accident condition. Working alongside a dedicated and professional team, you’ll deliver precision workmanship while enjoying excellent rewards and career progression opportunities.

About You

We’re seeking an experienced Paint Technician who:

• Has proven experience in paintwork
• Produces high-quality workmanship with great attention to detail
• Works well as part of a skilled team in a busy workshop
• Holds relevant qualifications/accreditations (IMI/NVQ) - desirable but not essential

• Relevant qualifications (ATA, NVQ, IMI, or equivalent) - desirable but not essential
• A proactive, team-focused approach
• Full UK Driving Licence required
