Qualifications

Job description

Our client, the No1 motor trade employer in the North West, is looking to recruit an experienced Paint Sprayer.

The Role:
  1. Painting and finishing
  2. Maintain workmanship standards and product quality to the highest levels
  3. Be responsible for all aspects of paint process including mixing paints, surface preparation, maintenance of equipment and spray booth
  4. Maintain a safe working environment
  5. Preparing surfaces for painting by meticulously cleaning, buffing, polishing and masking the areas that should not be painted
Skills & Experience:
  1. Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
  2. Proven experience as a Spray Painter/Paint Technician/Paint Shop Prepper in the automotive or vehicle manufacturing industry
  3. In-depth knowledge and skill set of paint application techniques, body filler, surface preparation and refinishing processes
  4. Proficiency in using computerised paint mixing technology to achieve precise colour matching
  5. Excellent attention to detail and colour perception skills
  6. Good communication and interpersonal skills
  7. Self-motivated and can work under pressure
  8. Ability to work independently and efficiently, while also collaborating effectively with the team
  9. Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment

Working hours are 40 per week, Monday to Friday, with an unpaid lunch break of 30 minutes.

The Person:
  1. Strong communication skills for customer service and team communication
  2. Handle all vehicles with due care and attention ensuring that customer care/satisfaction is maintained at all times
  3. Awareness of and adhere to all the Housekeeping and Health and Safety regulations
