Job summary

Pertemps Worcester is seeking an experienced Paint Sprayer to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing business in Worcestershire. The role focuses on applying wet paint to components to achieve a consistent, high-quality finish, following specific paint, gloss, and thickness requirements.

The ideal candidate has industrial or automotive wet spray experience, with COSHH knowledge, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work to defined specifications.

Qualifications

• Experience with wet spray painting in industrial, automotive or engineering environments.
• COSHH awareness and safe working practices.
• Ability to follow specifications and instructions accurately.
• Strong attention to detail with a track record of high-quality finishes.
• Spray painting certification is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Apply wet paint to manufactured components.
• Mix paints to correct ratios.
• Prepare and jig components for spraying.
• Maintain a high-quality paint finish per specs.
• Adhere to gloss and thickness requirements and use meters as needed.
• Follow COSHH and health and safety procedures and wear PPE.
• Organise workload to keep production running smoothly.
• Work independently with minimal supervision when required.

Paint Sprayer / Industrial Paint Sprayer

Location:Pershore

Pay Rate: £13.49 - £15.50 per hour, depending on experience

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Paint Sprayer / Industrial Paint Sprayer to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing business based in Worcestershire.

This is a great opportunity for someone with previous wet paint spraying experience within an industrial, engineering or automotive environment who is looking for a long-term permanent position.

The role will involve applying wet paint to manufactured components, ensuring a consistent, high-quality finish and working to specific paint, gloss and thickness requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Applying wet paint to manufactured components
• Mixing paints accurately to the correct ratios
• Preparing and jigging components ready for spraying
• Ensuring a consistent and high-quality paint finish
• Following paint specifications, gloss levels and thickness requirements
• Using gloss and thickness meters where required
• Working safely and following COSHH and Health & Safety procedures
• Using appropriate PPE at all times
• Organising your workload to keep production running efficiently
• Working independently with minimal supervision when required

The successful candidate will have

• Previous wet paint spraying experience within an industrial or automotive environment
• Ideally a minimum of 1 year of relevant spraying experience
• Good understanding of COSHH and safe working practices
• Ability to follow specifications and instructions accurately
• Good attention to detail
• Ability to produce a consistent, high-quality finish
• Reliable and able to work using your own initiative
• Spray painting certification would be advantageous
• Experience using gloss and DFT thickness meters would also be advantageous
