Job summary

Tru talent is seeking a skilled Paint Sprayer to join our Birmingham team. You will be responsible for preparing vehicles, applying water-based paints, and delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has experience with water-based paints, a stable work history in car painting, and holds City & Guilds or ATA accreditation. Competitive salary up to £45,000 with 30 days holiday and possible bonus structure.

Qualifications

• Experience with water-based paints and proven ability to produce high-quality paint spraying from start to finish.
• Stable work history in a car painting environment.
• City & Guilds qualification or ATA accreditation.
• Strong up-to-date knowledge of vehicle repair techniques.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicles by sanding, masking, priming surfaces.
• Mix paint to match colours and apply with spray guns.
• Ensure smooth, even paint application with no runs or sags.
• Perform touch-ups and finish work as required.
• Maintain and clean painting equipment and workspace.
• Adhere to safety and environmental regulations.
• Inspect finished work to meet standards and customer expectations.
• Collaborate with team to maintain workflow and high-quality results.

Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Paint Sprayer / Paint Technician / Car Sprayer / Automotive Sprayer / Car Painter. You'll be confident with water-based paints and bring extensive hands‑on experience within a vehicle painting environment.

Key Responsibilities of a Paint Sprayer / Paint Technician / Car Sprayer / Automotive Sprayer / Car Painter:

• Prepare vehicles for painting by sanding, masking, and priming surfaces
• Mix paint to match colours and apply using spray guns
• Ensure smooth, even paint application without runs, sags, or imperfections
• Perform touch‑ups and finish work as required
• Maintain and clean all painting equipment and keep a tidy workspace
• Adhere to all safety and environmental regulations
• Inspect finished work to ensure it meets industry standards and customer expectations
• Collaborate with team members to maintain workflow and deliver high-quality results
