Job summary

Jonathan Lee is seeking up to 5 Paint Process Engineers to join a world leading automotive business in Woking, Surrey. The role focuses on defining assembly concepts for new models, maintaining process sequencing, and driving PFMEA-related improvements to ensure production readiness.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience within a similar role - ESSENTIAL.
  • Experience from within the Automotive OEM or Tier 1 Automotive sector.
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong data analysis skills, and advanced Excel capability.
  • A proactive, calm approach under pressure, with flexibility to adapt as plans and procedures evolve.

Responsibilities

  • Define vehicle assembly concepts for new model introductions and support the transition from virtual planning through physical validation to delivery.
  • Create and maintain process sequencing, product traceability methodologies, and key manufacturing deliverables that support consistent outcomes across the site.
  • Drive PFMEA-related work to strengthen risk thinking, standardise improvements, and support robust production readiness.
  • Own and maintain Hours per Car (HPC) data for new model introductions, ensuring plant efficiency and output targets are met.
  • Work with Engineering and Operations teams to identify production bottlenecks, improve flow, and support line balancing decisions.
  • Contribute to facility layout and utilisation by collaborating on new or amended layouts and material flow design.

NEW JOB VACANCIES - PAINT PROCESS ENGINEER (SURREY)

Have you previously worked as a Paint Process Engineer, Paint Plant Engineer, Paint Plant Technician, Senior Paint Manufacturing Engineer, Paint Shop Manufacturing Engineer, Paint Shop Production Engineer, Paint Engineer, Paint Process Engineering Specialist, New Model Paint Engineer, Model Paint Engineer or Manufacturing Engineer - Paint Shop?!

We are looking for up to 5 Paint Process Engineers to join a world leading automotive business in Woking (Surrey), the working hours are 8.00am - 5.00pm Monday to Friday (40 hours per week), and the role comes with an annual salary ranging between £40,000 - £55,000 per annum (DOE).

Due to the nature of the business we are specifically looking for people from an Automotive OEM or Tier 1 Automotive background.

The company can offer a relocation package up to £5,000 should you be prepared to relocate to Surrey, however please be advised that SPONSORSHIP IS NOT AVAILABLE.

This will be a 2 stage interview process, the first stage being a teams call, before inviting you in on site for a formal 2nd interview and factory tour.
