Job summary

Training Provider offers the Level 2 Painting and Decorating Apprenticeship in the Totnes area. This hands-on programme combines on-site work with training at South Devon College to build core decorative skills and professional habits.

Apprentices start around 7:30am, learn surface preparation, painting techniques and safe working practices while contributing to domestic projects in South Devon. This role focuses on skill development and client service in a premium finish environment.

Responsibilities

• Surface preparation and preparation techniques
• Correct use of brushes, rollers, sanders and other decorating equipment
• Paint systems, primers, undercoats and finishing coats
• Woodwork, walls, ceilings and specialist finishes
• Safe use of steps, ladders and other access equipment
• Health and safety, including dust, noise, tools and equipment
• Correct workwear and personal protective equipment
• Professional communication and appropriate use of mobile phones at work
