Job summary

Reading School District is seeking a School Psychologist Intern to gain hands-on psychoeducational experience within a Pennsylvania district.

You will participate in supervision, conduct initial evaluations, and assist with IEP planning across multiple school sites, while meeting PDE 1,200 hour requirements. The internship is full-time and offers health benefits under the district agreement.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited school psychology program pursuing Pennsylvania certification and/or NCSP.
• Experience with students with disabilities and at-risk youth is preferred.
• Ability to travel between school settings within the workday.
• Strong verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to organize, prioritize work and meet deadlines.
• Ability to multitask and take direction from supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in weekly supervision sessions.
• Conduct comprehensive initial evaluations to aid in educational planning for students.
• Conduct reevaluations of students per standards and regulations.
• Administer psycho-educational assessments and interviews for IEP development.
• Present evaluation findings to parents and team members.
• Observe classrooms as part of assessments and provide behavioral consultation.
• Conduct counseling and behavior management sessions when appropriate.
• Maintain case records and ensure confidentiality and compliance.
• Collaborate with community agencies and resources.
