Job summary

Arcadis invites applications for an internship/placement in the Geo-Environmental discipline. You will be embedded in the Site Evaluation and Restoration team and contribute to ground investigations, desk-based studies and client liaison from day one.

You will work on environmental and planning projects, including major infrastructure and urban regeneration, while developing technical skills and professional competencies through signposted training.

Qualifications

• You will be working towards a degree in a relevant subject.
• Arcadian skills include resilience, creativity, analytical thinking and being a team player.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders.
• Willing to travel and stay away from home when required (virtual working possible).
• Hold a full UK driving licence.
• Comfortable with site-based working when required for projects.

Responsibilities

• Undertake site-based ground investigations to determine the nature and quality of ground conditions.
• Assist with geological/geotechnical assessment, soil contamination and groundwater quality.
• Work in project teams and conduct site work including soil and groundwater sampling.
• Desk-based research and report writing.
